Comment vous êtes-il venu l’idée de produire des chocolats ?
(How did you get the idea to produce these chocolates?)

Michael Felber & Steven Mark Klein : Switzerland has a fascinating history and tradition of chocolate and high quality manufacture. Today, the internationally known Swiss chocolates are 20th century mass brands. They have new challengers with the latest generation of artisan chocolate makers from France, Italy, Spain and the US. ALICE is the 21st century Swiss artisan chocolate brand.

D’où viens le cacao ? Comment sont-ils fait ?
(Where does the cocoa come from? How does theses chocolates are made?)

M.F. & S.M.K. : The Cocoa originates from the rainforest of the Amazon Basin in Bolivia.
The Cacao Fruits are collected manually in the wild, then layed out under the tropical sun to ferment and dry the seeds.
In Switzerland, those seeds are carefully converted into chocolate during the ex tensive process of cleaning, roasting, pressing, mixing and conching.

(Why did you chose to call them Alice?)

M.F. & S.M.K. : The name ALICE is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s photography and writing.

La production est-elle limitée ? Combien de boîtes produisez-vous par ans ?
(Is the production limited? how many boxes produced per year?)

M.F. & S.M.K. : Currently, the production is limited to a few thousand cases a year.

M.F. & S.M.K. : In New York at Bergdorf Goodman on Fifth Avenue, in London at Selfridges Wonderroom and online at alicechocolate.com

Quels sont vos objectifs et désirs pour les années à venir ?
(What are your objectives and desires for the next years to come?)

M.F. & S.M.K. : For ALICE CHOCOLATE to become known and loved as the Definitive Swiss Chocolate.
Also, we are currently talking to potential partners to open stores in Asia and for sustainable growth of the brand and product range.
